Farmhouse Retreat Quilt Kit

Seeew...

That's how Brian used to start this blog so I figured it was a good way to start too.

I must tell you, I have never blogged before so if I don't get into the depth he used to, please understand. Since we closed my brick-and-mortar storefront last December, I am having to learn how to maneuver the social media world. It's not as simple as one would think. Links, pictures, Instagram, Facebook, etc. It's a lot to keep track of!

Thank you to those of you who have been patient.

I have two new quilts to show you and I have a limited number of kits for both of these quilts. Both of these kits are eligible for FREE SHIPPING (U.S. Orders). The first one is called, "Farmhouse Retreat" and uses a variety of vintage Renee Nanneman fabrics.

The second is the Farmhouse Urban Cottage Quilt Kit. This quilt is huge at 87" x 104". The backing included is 108" wide so you will not have to piece your backing. This is quite a bit of fabric to ship so I am offering FREE SHIPPING on this kit as well. Since I still am charged by USPS to ship, this is a great offer for you to take advantage of. When I had a brick and mortar location, it just wasn't possible to offer this option, so I am happy to now be able to do it for you on select items.

The Urban Cottage collection from Moda isn't a very big collection. I think there are just 15 cotton prints in the entire line so I used a variety of collections to create this dramatic quilt. I could not find a lot of patterns out there that really showcased the large text and floral prints so I was happy to find this one which definitely represents a modern, urban farmhouse style.

I hope to continue this blog as often as I can but the way to not miss out on anything is to sign up for my email notifications on my website www.hollyhillquiltshoppe.com. As I continue with the transition to an on-line store, I appreciate your patience while I update everything. I am specializing in pre-cuts and coordinated quilt kits on the website. Patterns shown with my kits are available with my kits only.

Finally, as quilters I consider all of us to be one family. Recently, the daughter of one of our local long-arm quilters, Trish Hevern of Keeping You In Stitches was involved in a horrific auto accident. On Monday March 18 2019 Trish's daughter Chelsea sustained multiple injuries. Her young son's angels were protecting him as he sustained a minor concussion after being thrown from the vehicle. This family is in need of help due to the multiple surgeries and recovery Chelsea will need. Please read their story by clicking on the GOFUNDME.COM link. If you can help that would be wonderful. If you cannot please pray for this family.

Thank you for hanging in there with me and I look forward to sharing more soon. ~ Jan
