They Will Come Back Home....And They Did

Seeew...
Before I even begin this entry...you must do me a favor and view it on your desktop. An iPhone or any phone will not do this "post" justice as it is laid out to the music. I'm never about just posting pictures for the sake of pictures. There is a story here...and that story is you.
"I saw the sun begin to dim and felt the winter wind blow cold..."
It was one year ago when the "Mothership" made the decision to leave our previous location. I have never shown the above pictures until now and I have never discussed the decision. I will not discuss nor give the time of day to that kind of greed. All that I will say is... it was our home for 8 years and we love our new location seeew much more! As the snow was falling on the ramps of our moving trucks, I know neither one of us knew where we would show up next. It was not the way anyone would want to ring in the New Year.
"A man learns who was there for him...when the glitter fades and the walls won't hold..."
I didn't want to look at email or Social Media after we notified everyone of the decision and I definitely didn't want my mom reading them at all. Unless it was productive, I didn't want to rob her of the energy she had left. I do remember some emails from people that said things like, "I won't shop your store if you're on-line only." Whatever makes one feel better I guess???
Um...anyone else hear crickets?
Looking back, it's similar to when someone dies and people send you messages. Some are welcome and others are just...not. They probably have good intentions, but it just ends up making you feel worse.
The good news is that there were many of you who brought your light and offered us words of encouragement! Whether it was in person or through positive uplifting emails, you mean more to us than you know! In fact, there were several customers who even called us to offer this simple message in their own special way....
"Just know that wherever you go we will follow."
They were right.
We re-opened in the charming village district of Charbonneau earlier this year with our Grand Opening on July 15, 2017. Since that day, we have received tremendous support from so many people.
New faces and familiar...the beautiful people you see throughout this blog...they don't care if we have chandeliers or not. They don't care about the size of our Shoppe no matter which version they visited. They don't care how many bolts we have, that our classroom is across the parking lot or other such silly things in the bigger picture.
These are the faces of the people who have encouraged us each step of the way and they simply love that our spirit of creating lives on "like an anthem in our hearts.."
They are supportive.
They are fiercely protective to anyone who messes with their quilt shop...but most of all...
They are family.
They have come back home....and that's all we could ever ask for.
I have nothing more to say...I will let the song do the rest.
"When we stop and see you here, we remember who all this was for...."
If you get a chance this Christmas...take those you love and see The Greatest Showman! It is pure magic from the colors, to the music to the lessons! I could see it five more times just for all the detail.
Thank you to all of you who have "come back home" this year.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! ~ Brian
