A Million Dreams Keep Us Creating!

I haven't felt this much passion for a movie since Idina Menzel treated D23 audiences to the first performance of "Let It Go" in August 2013...three months before Frozen's release in November of that same year. If you follow us on Instagram or Facebook, between every product share, I've been sharing every new musical discovery for the new movie...The Greatest Showman.  I'll admit it...I'm obsessed! Seeew much seeew that last night when this song "A Million Dreams" dropped in my iTunes, my eyes were swelling with puddles as memories of the past looked on...

Every quilt shop, however big or small....each one begins with a dream.

I can't speak for every quilt shop, however... I know of one quilt shop from personal experience (*wink) where a million dreams do keep them awake. I wish more people understood that. 

I haven't seen the movie yet (December 20!) but something tells me it includes a message for the creative spirit in every creator.

"There's a house we can build, every room inside is filled with things from far away...

The special things I compile, each one there to make you smile....on a rainy day..."  

Those orchestrations are everything. Do you hear it????

The world of quilting has continually evolved and it requires vision to navigate it successfully. Vision brings joys but it also brings new challenges. Trust me, we've definitely had our share of ups and downs in 13 years! But you know what? Even when I feel like I'm losing my mind, if I focus on the world "I close my eyes to see", I always find the joy. It's easy to be negative and critical but creativity and accomplishment require effort. Whether it's the "Mothership" pulling fabrics for new samples and building kits, or me putting together a blog post, those million dreams that keep us awake....they keep us creating.

I must head home for the evening, but this will not be the last of The Greatest Showman on my blog. The entire soundtrack is pure magic!

If there is anything I know for sure today....'tis this...

Every night I lie in bed...the brightest colors fill my head, a million dreams are keeping me awake.
