S.p.R.u.N.g Re-Cap!

Today is Sunday. It is my Sunday-Funday. As much as I try, I can't seem to stay away from work. However, Sunday is a bit different because there is no one calling my name. It literally is bliss. Seeew, for today's post I thought I would spend a little time with you. Just me. And quilted realness recapping our S.p.R.u.N.g Workshop. Dim the lights, grab your favorite box of crackers, maybe include a few slices of your favorite cheese...and let's get to it!

Our 2nd Annual S.p.R.u.N.g Workshop was on Saturday, April 11. From the loads of feedback we received, this was a popular one and we definitely look forward to bringing it back in 2016.

If you follow me regularly, you already know what S.p.R.u.N.g was all about!

Let me just say this...I am more in love with this workshop than I was before. The four "secret" projects were wonderful (in the picture above), the food was fabulous and our attendees were delightful! Since it had been a few years since the "Mothership" and I hosted our last S.p.R.u.N.g, I was a bit hesitant. Would people remember? Fortunately for us though...they did! In fact, we had many requests to bring it back. Seeew thank you to all who attended! We both love it when we get to create something in which we can spend a day with all of you!

I am pleased to share that we added a few new enhancements to our workshop experience with this event.  Let me tell ya, the "Mothership" is a savvy one. Knowing that our 7th annual "Homespun & Holly" is on the horizon for November, she decided to use S.p.R.u.N.g as a "test" for a new seating arrangement and new family style catered luncheon. Each guest and their friends were assigned a "nest" number which ensured friends and family sat together...a total plus! The round tables (nests) were also a welcome addition seeew everyone could flock together. Both of these new enhancements worked out amazingly well and will be back for "Homespun & Holly!"

Do I even need to mention table #1? LOL. Don't be fooled...they look innocent and studious, but behind-the-scenes there was non-stop laughter from this section of the room.

"When you're good to mama, mama definitely is good to you." Take a closer look at the table to see the "Mothership's" welcome gift to all of our participants - Jodi Nelson's adorable pin bowl filled with quality sewing notions! If that's not, I'm not sure what is. Adorable.

Speaking of precious...these two ladies are the definition of delightful. Linda had her "wings" up ready to leave the nest. Both Linda and Charlotte have been to all of our Breakfast Club's that my mom began last September....and I know Charlotte has been visiting the Shoppe since opening day in 2005! Thank you to both of you for being seeew good to us!

Now, what's missing? Oh could I forget the food? Well...that's going to require a "Confession Session."

Seeew here's the deal.

I wanted to inspire you with the luscious meal that besieged my taste buds, but my problem is this:

It's not drastic seeew don't go spreadin' rumors but...

I kind of inhale my food.

Before you know it, halfway through my indulgence I realize I haven't taken a photograph.  Bottom line: the food was delicious and of course Priscilla "Queen of the Dessert" let me have my alone time with my own pack of cupcakes. It's like getting a VIP All Access Pass to my waistline! It really is obscene.

Seeew there you go. A little S.p.R.u.N.g Re-Cap just for you from little ole' me. I would highly recommend that if you haven't attended a workshop here, you make plans to do seeew. Our next workshop with this type of format will be our 7th Annual Homespun & Holly. As I said above, there will be five (5) designers this year (which means five projects for you) and you won't want to miss it! We've recently added more seats to each day, so currently you can select from November 13, 14 or 15. But don't wait too long!

Alright, the night has come to an end for me but never fear...I will be back to share with you more quilts and more fabric! In the meantime make sure you join us on Instagram, Facebook or read your emails from us!
