Join Us For Our Mother's Celebration Brunch! Saturday, May 13 12pm-2pm! Sunday Supper Giveaway Winner Announcement
One of the events we most look forward to every month is our "What's For Breakfast?" event! For the month of May we kick it up a notch for our Mother's Celebration Brunch on Saturday, May 13 from 12pm-2pm. Mom's are special and what a better way to share the day before Mother's Day with a delicious brunch while enjoying all things quilting! We do have some seats left so it's not too late to register! To register click here or call us at 503-694-8052.
For our "What's For Breakfast?" event Jan always shares her featured project, which is kept under wraps until the reveal! I can tell you that this month's project is going to make a fabulous gift for a favorite creative mom in your life...or maybe even yourself! The best part, you will be creating the project during the event! Pictured above are some of the various projects Jan has featured over the last several months. The way to acquire the project is by attending the event. On rare occasions Jan may offer a kit for purchase outside of the event (as she did with the Spring Daisy Wool Mat) but for the most part we keep the projects exclusive to the event.
One of the highlights of the event is the sharing of favorite projects from all of you! Of course we always love to see what you're making with fabrics, patterns and kits from us here at Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe, but it's also fun to see the variety of projects that mean so much to you from your own stories! Since 2014 there have been quite a few friendships made and it's always nice to meet new people! We are firm believers that the way you ensure there are quilt shops available in your future is to participate in one and support them. Everyone is welcome to join us!
Before I get too much further I should add that Jennifer Ball (pictured with the Giraffe paper piecing quilt above) will be teaching a Foundation Paper Piecing class on Saturday, July 29. Registration will be available soon on our website seeew be watching for it!

Before I go, some folks have been confused as to where we are in the Chabronneau district. A.) The Charbonneau District is a planned community within the city limits of Wilsonville. We are no more than 10-15 minutes away from our previous location. B.) Once you enter Charbonneau, follow the green signs (which will be on the left hand side of the road) that say "Village Center/Golf Course." C.) Once in the "Village Center" we are at the end of the long white/cream building, under the flagpole.
See this black and white striped umbrella? Well, we are located right next to that. It's an easy find out here and there is far more parking than we could have ever imagined in the previous location! No busy street to turn onto either! It really is bliss! There are also two other quilt shops (Sewn Loverly & Speckled Hen Quilts) in the area with entirely different styles from us. We are all just about 10 minutes from one another. That's the beauty of the independent quilt shop, we don't and should not...all have to be the same.
Stay Seeew-cial! ~ Brian
