You know when I go silent at this time of the year it's for one reason and one reason only! The holiday season and our plethora of events is upon us! Where do I even begin?? Oh...I know, before I get carried away our wool is selling out! If you want some cream or black, I advise coming soon! Also the color packs are depleting but never fear we are ordering more! Tis the season! I've also so been busy hanging ornaments galore! Lots of cute new fun ornies to make spirits bright like the new Diner below. In fact, we have a ton of new "retro" inspired ornaments. Are you following us on Instagram? Are you taking a peak and shopping our new website? If you're not and you're not visiting ...then you are missing out on lots of stuff that I sneak in!
Anyhoo...are you ready for a detailed post? You are????? Shut. The. Door, Esther Marie! This very well could be the only post you get from me for awhile seeew grab those charm packs and take a seat. Am I bossy?
Seeew directly at the top of this blog is our Handmade Holly Days Craft Fair which will be held Saturday, November 19 from 10am-4pm. Local crafters just like yourselves will be here selling their unique handmade items. The event is open to the public and vendors will be cash only. Meaning you do not ring out with us, you will pay these great people individually. The fair will host crafters with talents in wood turned ornaments accessories and quilting tools, Christmas vignettes, jewelry, hand woven towels, mats and towels, dolls and some of our own small projects and quilts.
For Thanksgiving week we will be closed Wednesday, November 23 & November 24. This is an annual tradition for us and is our way to express gratitude for our staff while giving them quality time with family and friends. Regular hours will return Friday, November 25 & Saturday, November 26. Our annual Once Upon A Homespun Christmas Open House is Saturday, December 3 10am-5pm. We are only open on selected Sundays...our next Sunday open is Sunday, December 4 from 10am-4pm.
Seeew...what's new in the Shoppe??? LOTS! Unfortunately I cannot show EVERYTHING (that's where you come into play and visit the Shoppe), but I can show you my favorite new fabric collection! It's called Hop, Skip & A Jump and it's by the adorable Sandy Klop of American Jane. When Sandy was here last year I said, "Hey Sandy...I thought of a name for your next collection! Have you ever thought of naming a collection, Hop, Skip & A Jump?" She was elated and said she'd get to work on it as soon as she flew back home! A little over a year later and here it is! Super cute and it's starting to be noticed! We have kits for the Muffets Tuffet Quilt available here and they are excellently priced!
Here are just four of the sixteen blocks....click here to view the entire quilt which is what the quilt kit will make. I have a feeling we don't even need to make a sample for this one as it is selling fast!
In between the 100 million other things we have going on, Jan was able to finish up our Mini Pumpkins Wall Hanging (below). One thing the "Mothership" has is an eye for color and placement. I love ALL of it! Why anyone would want to darken this project up is beyond me. That gorgeous background makes this project what it is! Phenomenal.
And as always, her kits are packaged with attention to detail as only you would expect from our Shoppe! They are literally like Christmas presents! Maybe you'll want this one under your tree???
Oh....I almost forgot, did I tell you our barn doors for our new workshop space arrived? I decided to hang the pumpkins on one of them to see how it will work out! I think it's going to work well...don't you?
I'll show you the entire set of doors when he's finished with the hardware details. These doors have literally been months in the making and they are everything we hoped they would be! GORGEOUS. Next up...we will be tackling the register area! I highly doubt time is on our side before Homespun & Holly (in just a few weeks) seeew maybe we will wait until January? All I know is it has been a year long remodel! BTW... I never said it was finished. Thank you to those of you who support the Shoppe regularly...it is because of you that it was always possible!
Coming up in my next blog post I'll recap our recent Autumn Breakfast Club Brunch which was held this past Sunday! Pictured below the "Mothership" and Christine are holding up a brand new quilt which we will have kits of soon! Don't ask me when...I'm only the messenger. Just keep your eye on our email, website, and all social media. I'm always amazed how many people don't look at it and then are disappointed when they miss out. I don't know what else I can say??? LOL. I only speak truth here on the blog.:-)
