Shops Are Working Hard To Inspire You Seeew...Join Us For The Harvest & Stitches Shop Hop Now - October 22!
The Harvest & Stitches Shop Hop has begun! Before I get into the details, I want to stress the importance of these Shop Hops. We've participated in shop hops since 2005 and I have to say Deb at Quilters Corner Store does an excellent job with putting the "Stitches" hops together. It takes a lot of work to coordinate a shop hop! Seeew kudos to her! In addition to Deb, every shop owner invests time in planning a FREE block just for you - but it isn't "free" to the stores. They purchase the fabrics, invest money in labor to prepare and more seeew it's always nice to see people enjoying the efforts of each store and supporting them during these hops, and throughout the year!
During this Shop Hop each shop creates a 6" block and a small project using their block. For our project, the "Mothership" created a little mug mat and wine bag using the themed fabric.
The themed fabric is from Maywood Studio's new Songbird Christmas collection. It's a traditional collection but we enjoyed it because it had a brightness to it that got us in the mood for Christmas!
As a bonus during this Shop Hop, collect all 14 blocks to create a beautiful Christmas table runner just in time for the holidays!
This Shop Hop is also LOADED with prizes! Not only are there the Grand, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th prizes to win, but there is an in-store drawing for each of the 14 stores and extra prizes for posting your selfie to the Stitches Shop Hop Facebook page!
Seeew come on ladies and gentlemen, let's get into the creative spirit and #shoplocal by supporting your favorite local brick and mortar quilt shops! The Shop Hop concludes on Saturday, October 22! For this occasion, we will be open on Sunday October 16 12pm-4pm. We've been open on selected Sundays only for ten years seeew make a note of it!
BTW...In November, we will be open on Sunday, November 13 from 12pm-4pm which is also our November Autumn Breakfast Club! If you love all of those cute projects we post on Instagram (pictured above), then you'll want to make sure you sign up for this one because it will be a brunch style Breakfast Club! YAY! This always means more food!
In between all of this, I have been busy trying to get some downtime to rearrange the Shoppe to set up for Christmas. As in year's past we are once again a Christmas fabric destination! I've got two more walls to paint and then I will be done with the painting phase of the remodel (I have never said we were done). This quilt is our gorgeous new Sparkle Christmas Quilt Kit using the fabulous Juniper Berry by Basic Grey. There is a lot of fabric in this one and I love our unique background choice. A word of note from our piecer, Lisa Goodloe....you will need a design wall to put this one together! Our complete quilt kits are available for purchase here.
That's it for today! I've got to get the recap of the Wool N' Harvest Workshop up next! ~ Brian
