"If all else fails and you long to be...something better than you are today...I know a place where you can get away...it's called a QUILT SHOP...and here's what it's for...
Come on..."SEEEW."
Let your body groove for some fabric! Hey...hey...hey!
Come on..."SEEEW"...
Let your body hustle to Holly...you know...you can do it. "SEEEW."
Um...yeah...better let her do it. I don't have a cone bra to complete the ensemble.
This week we are celebrating all things...Madonna! I know...she isn't exactly the matronly image one would blend with quilting...but...whatev. I don't stand above anyone else. This icon and Queen of Pop is a seven time Grammy award winner and is about to release her 12th studio album. Yes, even in this "Gaga-Inspired World" the original pop music chameleon is still very much relevant that she was asked to be this year's entertainment during the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show! I of course, am ecstatic. After attending three of her most amazing concert experiences...I just might wet myself. I brought the Mothership to Chicago to see one of the tours a few years back and...um...we were in the sixth row. On the floor. Next to her...CATWALK! I'm a tad bit obsessed. Oops.

Okay, don't tell anyone but I watched Desperatly Seeking Susan last week. So "In The Groove" is my fav Madonna song. It wasn't bad seeing young Mr blue eyes either.

Gotta be Material Girl! I don't think Madonna and I think of the same kind of Material though. Wonder if she knows how to sew? Probably doesn't have time for it even if she did. Thanks for being a "go to" place when I need my material fix!

I really like Don't Cry for me, Argentina and also Material Girl. 'Cause I'm a material girl, lol! And I really enjoy your blog posts, especially the videos you include. Thanks!

Love "Don't Tell Me" because I LOVE the video (western theme, dancing in the dust with the cowboys!)

Rain is my favorite because the video is so beautiful.

You want me to pick one favorite? REally? LOL OK fine. I'll pick La Isla Bonita. There is something about that song that hits deeper than most of her songs. It's smooth and rythmic like a heart beat. It's a sip a cognac and close your eyes blissful.
Have a wonderful Super Bolt Party!

Vogue! Of all the MTV videos I watched when my daughter was a teenager (not that many really. . . oh, well, more than a few dozen but fewer than a hundred. . . I think) I remember this one above all. In fact, when the word "video" comes up, I think of that 'head shot' of Madonna with her beautiful arms going every which way, framing her expressive face. Remember?! Vogue, definitely.

Who's that baby. I used to sing it to my daughter while she was wrapped up in her towel after bath time

Madonna is one of my all time favorite artists. I grew up with her thru my teen-age years. My favorites are Material Girl and also Vogue. They are so fun to dance to as are most of her songs but Vogue was the first and only song I karaoke'd to. And yes I struck a pose.
